
Introduction
Nicholas Blomberg is a Swedish tattoo artist renowned for his unique take on traditional tattoo styles, particularly his signature monkey illustrations. Known for his bold, recognizable approach, the brand identity needed to match the disruptive and striking nature of his work.
Strategy
The goal was to create a visual system that felt as iconic and distinctive as Nicholas’s tattoos. Centering the identity around his artistic voice, we focused on turning his illustrations, especially his monkey drawings into key brand elements, while ensuring the overall experience stayed modern, edgy, and highly memorable.
Design
The logo features one of Nicholas’s hand-drawn monkeys as the primary emblem, immediately identifiable and true to his artistic DNA. This is paired with a clean, modern sans-serif typeface to add contemporary contrast. A bold neon yellow acts as the core color, bringing an electric, eye-catching energy. To push the concept further, pixelated body maps and circle indicators show ideal tattoo placements, making the visual system not just aesthetic but informative and interactive.
Results
The final identity feels bold, personal, and unforgettable, just like Nicholas’s work. By merging his art with modern visual language, we created a cohesive system that speaks directly to tattoo lovers and design enthusiasts alike, helping Nicholas stand out as a true creative force in the tattoo world.
