Intro
Samard is a brand born to spotlight Egypt’s overlooked outdoor sports culture—hiking, fishing, and camping. The name itself, coined by SanchezStudioz, merges the Arabic words sama (sky) and ard (ground), perfectly capturing the brand’s duality of exploration.
Strategy
The brand’s foundation is built on celebrating Egypt’s natural terrains, its deserts, lakes, and mountains, through niche adventure sports that are underrepresented in mainstream culture. The goal: to position Samard as the ultimate guide to grounded yet sky-reaching journeys.
Design
The visual identity is led by a highly abstract emblem that blends a duck and a compass. The duck, an animal that walks, swims, and flies, symbolizes complete freedom of movement, while the compass grounds it in the spirit of discovery. A vibrant palette of orange and sky blue sets Samard apart in a market saturated with greens and neutrals, evoking both warmth and openness.
Results
It’s a movement, redefining adventure through identity, storytelling, and terrain. The unique mix of concept, emblem, and visual strategy positions it as a fresh voice championing Egypt’s untapped outdoor culture.
